Had an interest in astronomy since I was in my teens, and once having time and space available I became more involved around 2008.
After a fair bit of research I got the 8" reflector by Celestron mounted on the CG5 goto, which are still performing well.
Developed from visual to astrophotography after a few years using a Canon dslr. Have had some reasonable results of deep sky, after processing with photoshop.
Found the effort of setting up in the back garden for an evening observing session too much after a while, so (after my good ladies approval) built a shed which houses the mount, which can be wheeled out on a purpose built trolley. It saves so much time and effort.
My only enemy now is street lights, fairy lights and security lights.
Thought it would be good to join an astro club with an observatory, and hopefully make some friends and learn a few things.
