? LX200 ? 8 inch f/10
? QHY5L-II camera
? EQ5 Pro Mount ? since the stars hadn?t even appeared when I?d finished I had to rely on the holes in the lawn to align the mount, which I set to lunar tracking and I must have been pretty close, as there was very little drift over the period of getting up to 1000 frames of video, although for most tiles I kept it to 200 which took around 30s.
? Software wise I used SharpCap which works pretty well.
? So I ended up with 60+ videos which I processed in Autostakkert to give a range of outputs at 5, 10 and 20% best frames but Drizzle stacking at 1.5. For processing I ended up with 10 as it seemed to give the best results. This took around 4hrs as a batch job, not helped by the PC going to sleep long before completion.
? I then ran them through RC Deconvolution algorithm in PixInsight using a batch command to provide a level of sharpening.
? Then the long process of manually stitching together and balancing tones across the tiles ? that was a long job and it is by no means perfect, but the best I can do.
