Image shows the IC432, Flame Nebula (NGC2024), NGC2023, Horsehead Nebula (IC434), Running Man Nebula (M43) and the Orion Nebula (M42).
Image captured on the 20th Jan, taking advantage of one of those rare occasions when there was a clear sky and no moon to wash the sky out.
Equipment:
Telescope: William Optics RedCat 51mm with a focal length of 250mm and focal ratio of f/4.9. Excellent flat field performance.
Camera: Canon EOS 6D (mk1) unmodified.
Mount: Skywatcher Star Adventurer portable equatorial mount on a Manfrotto tripod, unguided.
Image: 11 light frames with exposure of 2mins at ISO800, calibrated, aligned, stacked and post processed in PixInsight. 2mins exposure was pushing the unguided mount to the limit resulting in more than half the images captured being discarded due to the effects of periodic error.
