EQ3-2 Declination Indicator
It became apparent during my first attempt at using setting circles to find Deep Sky Objects that the indicator marker was situated too far from the scale and was not aligned with the scope. So I made an adustable indicator (+/- 2deg) which sits over the scale. Fibre glass base into which a M2.5 nut was secured into it, was glue gunned (with care) to existing indicator plate. Piece of acrylic with a slot at top, scored and inked to provide the overlay indicator marker. I can now locate, with confidence objects well within the FoV of the scope (400mm f/5 with 25mm eye piece). Good polar alignment and stop watch a must.
