Star images EQ3-2 90arcsec PEC algorithm
PECs engaged at approx +15deg. Image gaps=5sec. Scope=WO Megrez 72mm (432mm focal length) into an EOS 450D. Target was Betelgeuse and images are of two much fainter stars in close proximity. Of the 90sec and 120sec images 7 or 8 out of the 16 would have been acceptable for stacking; 3 exhibit evidence of stiction, i.e. not constant trails but bright dots seperated by a gap, suggesting that the mount 'jumped'. So 50% is not brilliant but acceptable I would suggest for a basic EQ3-2 mount. This may be improved by selecting a higher peak to peak PEC setting (90arcsec was set) with options for 60 and 120. Also, I probably started the corrections slightly out of phase with the mount worm.
